An Introduction to my Sonic Fanfic

Despite the widely adventured world, the Tiny Islands remained a believed to be remote archipelago untouched by the outside world. However, the small set of five islands were inhabited by smaller and faster Mobians, the most notable of whom were the late King Roderic and his genetically altered daughter Shion. Shion, being the smallest of all of the adults, was a fair princess, ruling with a firm but gentle hand. However, she hid a dark secret.

50 years ago, she was born to the 22-year old Queen Philomena on the Space Colony ARK. Queen Philomena, a non-native to the islands, volunteered to help Dr. Gerald Robotnik in his research to cure Maria, Gerald's granddaughter, and help find the key to immortality. The research resulted in the queen's early death, Shion's mutation that happened before birth, and Shadow's creation among other things. The newborn princess had been granted with slowed aging, longevity, and possibly immortality, but at the price of never meeting her mother face to face. Without her mother, Shion spent 50 years without knowing entirely who she was and where she came from. Meanwhile, King Roderic waited on the islands for the return of his wife and hopefully child, growing old in the process.

Time had passed and Shion found her way to Earth apart from Shadow, landing on South Island in the Green Hill Zone. The young princess, with only a mysterious gem in her possession wandered the world to find her true home.
